I learned to clean working alongside my cousin at her cleaning company. She taught me a lot about the work itself. After a while I had my own ideas about how a cleaning business should be run, so in 2020 I started Brio Cleaning with my wife, Geovana Santos.
That first year it was just the two of us cleaning every home ourselves. Today we're a team of 12, and together we've cleaned well over 1,000 homes across the Richmond area.
These days I spend most of my time in the office: scheduling, quotes, client communication, and keeping the operation running.
I still go out to check quality in person, and when a team needs to return to a home, I like to be there to walk through how the job should be done.
We're local, and we care about the people whose homes we clean. What I'm best at is solving problems when something goes wrong. The posts on this blog come from that day-to-day work: what we do, what we don't, and why.
